The Wind on Water Concert just got even bigger with Aussie band San Cisco confirming their performance alongside The Veronicas this April.

Hailing from Fremantle, the band is set to draw a massive crowd playing at the inaugural WoW Fest concert on Sunday 22 April.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn said the group were the perfect addition to the WoW Fest line-up.

“San Cisco have established a huge following around the globe and we’re excited to have them grace the stage for our very first WoW Fest concert,” he said.

“The two-day event is going to attract people from all over the state and it’s great that we are continuing to attract high-quality acts.

“Geraldton is in for a big weekend of entertainment on April 21 and 22, make sure it’s in your calendars!”

Making waves in 2015, San Cisco’s sophomore album Gracetown debuted at #2 on the ARIA charts. The band have also featured in the top 10 songs of the Triple J Hottest 100 on multiple occasions.

Since then, Jordi, Scarlett, Josh and Nick have toured and released their studio album The Water, which features crowd favourites ‘Hey Did I Do You Wrong’ and ‘The Distance’.

Described as disco, funk, soul with hip-hop undertones the group have played festivals at home and headlined tours from Maitland to Mexico.

Scarlett Stevens from San Cisco said the band were pumped for the gig.

“I cannot wait to come and play in Geraldton for the WoW Fest,” she said.

“Our favourite gigs are ones we get to play to new crowds who don’t normally get the chance to party to live music.”

WoW Fest will take place on the weekend of April 21 and 22 with the new event set to encompass everything Geraldton has to offer from perfect weather, water sports plus amazing family activities on our beautiful Foreshore.

The Festival will conclude with the concert on Sunday 22 April on the Geraldton Foreshore’s GMC Stage at Stow Gardens.

WoW Festival is funded by the City of Greater Geraldton and the Federal Government’s Building Better Regions Fund - Community Investments Stream.

Tickets for the WoW Fest concert will go on sale to the public on Thursday 1 February. More details will be released closer to the date.
