Tourism Western Australia’s Deputy Chair Manny Papadoulis will head to Geraldton next week to deliver a product packaging workshop designed to assist tourism operators in the region.
The two-day learning opportunity will provide businesses with the ins and outs of bundled experiences and how they benefit the traveller.
City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn encouraged tourism operators to attend.
“Manny is one of the most respected individuals in the tourism industry and will teach attendees all there is to know about packages and partnerships,” he said.
“If we want to take the next step in tourism we have to package experiences, develop the correct pricing structures and most importantly, be willing to collaborate with other operators.”
Mr Papadoulis wears many hats in the tourism industry and is also the Chair of Australia’s Coral Coast and the Executive Director of Icon Tourism.
“This is a very practical hands on workshop that will give attendees easy to implement solutions that can help your tourism business and bottom line,” Mr Papadoulis included.
“I get asked often for free advice on how to improve tourism business and the answer is always simple: partnerships, packaging and yield management. Now if you want to know more then come to the workshop.”
The Product Packaging and Partnerships workshop will commence at 9am on Monday 12 August and conclude on Tuesday 13 August at 4.30pm at the Gerald Apartment Hotel.
Day one gives an introduction to packages and day two sees attendees’ work together to form their own bundles.
Tickets can be purchased via Eventbrite and are just $50 for the two days. Morning tea, lunch and afternoon will be provided as well as tea and coffee.
