The City of Greater Geraldton wishes to advise it will be closing Yuna-Tenindewa Road between Desmond Road and Geraldton-Mount Magnet Road to replace the concrete culvert at Hodgson’s Crossing with works scheduled to commence on Monday 7 May 2018 for a period of approximately 10 weeks.

Works include replacing four of the current concrete barrels with larger ones to improve water flow into Kockatea Gully during peak flow events. The anticipated hours of work will be from 7am to 6pm.

A detour over Desmond Road will be in place during the works. All vehicles over 27.5m length are to detour via Bryon North Road, Tenindewa Road North, Doogue Rd, and Bone Road.

The project is jointly funded by the Australian Government Bridges Renewal Program and the City of Greater Geraldton, with each contributing 50 per cent of the upgrade costs.

Members of the community are requested to exercise caution and obey all warning signs and directions from authorised City personnel and contractors.

The City apologises for any inconvenience these works may cause.

If you have any queries please contact the City on (08) 9956 6600 or email council@cgg.wa.gov.au.
