A recent survey of patrons at the QEII Seniors and Community Centre has showcased the satisfaction of the services offered at the venue.

Results from the Department of Communities’ Customer Perception Survey showed that from nearly 300 people surveyed, 99% were satisfied with the service they receive. This result was up 3% from the 2016/17 survey.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn said the survey results were a testament to the crucial role the QEII Centre played in the community.

“Results like the ones we have seen in the survey really cement the importance of the Centre and the positive outcomes it has in our community,” he said.

“We were over the moon with the results from last year’s survey but they have increased even more which is fantastic.

“With more than 3,500 attendees every month who take part in numerous programs, these results show why our seniors come back week after week.

“We know how important the Centre is to the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of our seniors and we will continue to offer this important service,” Mayor Van Styn added.

As well as service satisfaction, the survey revealed 98% found the services met their needs, 97% would recommend the service, 91% agreed that they met people who they can talk to and 87% said they will continue to use the things that they had learnt from the service.

The Customer Perception Survey is issued annually by the Department of Communities to those who receive funding and is designed to evaluate the outcomes of the service and identify opportunities for further improvement.
