Sundays in summer are about to heat up and so are the tunes on the Foreshore with the return of the much loved Sundays by the Sea series.

Making its popular return in January 2023, the City of Greater Geraldton is putting the call out for local musicians and food vendors who would like to be involved in the program.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn said he was pumped to welcome the event back and encouraged local musos and vendors to get involved.

“Come summer, our community love making the most of the balmy afternoons and there’s no better way than having some dinner with friends and listening to some local music,” he said.

“It’s always a popular event and a great platform for established musicians, or even up and coming talent.

“So mark your calendars and if you’re interested in being involved complete an expression of interest.”

Sundays by the Sea is a free, all ages event that takes place weekly on a Sunday afternoon in Stow Gardens - with a food van on site.

The series will kick start on 15 January until 14 May 2023 (excluding Public Holidays and Shore Leave weekend on 30 April). From 15 January to 19 March, food will commence from 4:30pm with music from 5-7pm. And from 26 March onwards, food will commence from 3:30pm with music from 4-6pm.

Musicians and food vendors keen to be added to the schedule are encouraged to submit an expression of interest on the City’s website.

Applications close at 9am on 9 December 2022.
