Things are heating up outside, which means it’s time for some summer school holiday fun!

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn was pleased to introduce the newest edition of the School Holiday Program.

“The summer break may be long and hot, but the School Holiday Program offers kids plenty of opportunities to get out there and burn off some energy,” he said.

“Grab a printout for a list of City hosted events or head to our website to see the full range of activities on offer.”

Free City hosted events include the ever-popular soccer clinics, wheelchair basketball and Dungeons and Dragons.

Other special mentions include potion fun and sensory play sessions, calligraphy workshops, skate clinics and even a scavenger hunt.

Geraldton Regional Library will be building wooden toys and teaching tech savvy kids how to become digital superstars.

Geraldton Regional Art Gallery is offering kids Christmas card drop-in sessions for all ages, and young adults can look forward to some ‘sketchy business’ of the arty kind.

Mullewa families will be able to enjoy free entry into the Doc Docherty Pool for the month of January thanks to generous funding from Geraldton Sporting Aboriginal Association (GSAC).

The Mullewa Youth Centre will be running a variety of one-off events throughout the break.

In addition to the City ran events on the physical program, a variety of additional events hosted by external providers can be found on the City’s events calendar.
