Summer holidays have never looked this good, with a sizzling edition of the City of Greater Geraldton School Holiday Program becoming available to the public.
City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn was excited to introduce the latest iteration of the popular holiday resource.
“The Summer Holiday Program is always bursting with fresh new events for kids to try, and the Summer 2021/22 edition is no different,” he said.
“Thanks to the tireless work of so many fantastic local organisations, we have been able to add more variety than ever before to the list and I hope locals and visitors alike have a great time taking part!”
City events include the regular soccer and wheelchair basketball clinics and Dungeons and Dragons campaigns, plus cupcake classes and plant workshops with Succulent Kiss are also making a return. New additions to the program include a low tox potion party, slime workshops, amazing race team challenges and fireworks origami workshops.
Films on the Foreshore is back with three family favourites lined up such as Madagascar (PG) on Friday 7 January, Alexander and the Terrible, No Good, Very Bad Day (PG) on Friday 14 January and Bedtime Stories (G) on Friday 21 January.
Geraldton Toy Library will burst to life with a fantastic line up of events on offer for children of all ages, plus everyone has a very special opportunity to work on a community art mural, which will be revealed at a family fun day.
Get stretching at a variety of yoga sessions, from Sunset Yoga on the Geraldton Foreshore to kids’ yoga sessions in Rocks Laneway and even stand-up paddle boarding classes.
Crafty kids will be thrilled to see the line up on offer at both Geraldton Regional Art Gallery and the Scrapbook House, with a variety of crafting activities on offer throughout the holidays, including Christmas crafts, the sketchbook art project and a variety of scrapbooking workshops.
The Aquarena are offering two holiday infant aquatics programs for kids aged six months to five years old and the BIFF and waterslide will be open throughout the summer.
Abrolhos Adventures have plenty of dates available for both their fast ferry and fly in adventures to the pristine Abrolhos.
