The Spring School Holiday Program is back and is bursting at the seams with great boredom busters.
The program – a combined effort between the City of Greater Geraldton and external providers – runs from Saturday 25 September until Sunday 10 October.
City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn was pleased to present the latest version of the popular program.
“The School Holiday Program remains a staple for parents and carers looking for new and exciting ways to keep the kids busy during the break,” he said.
“If you’re still looking for ways to spend these perfect spring days, grab a program and start planning!”
City hosted events include program regulars soccer, wheelchair basketball, cupcake classes and Dungeons and Dragons, as well as exciting new additions like Succulent Kiss plant bowl sessions and bag printing at Lester House.
Big Sky Readers and Writers Festival will take place in the first week of the holidays and it offers kids a tonne of activities from weaving to cartooning with Campbell Whyte, and even a football clinic with AFL legend Bill Dempsey.
Abrolhos Adventures will end the Queen’s Birthday long weekend with a bang when they host fireworks on the ferry on Monday 27 September.
They will also be doing regular day trips to the iconic Abrolhos Islands as well as a special historical cruise with guest Dr. Howard Gray on Friday 8 October.
Geraldton Regional Art Gallery will be hosting two Sit ‘n’ Stitch sessions for those interested in hand stitching their very own pouch or amulet and a Boomerang Bags upcycle workshop.
Kids looking to burn off some energy have plenty of choice, from Dynamic Tennis Coaching, surf lessons and Infinity Skate WA sessions, to come and try golf days and holiday fun with the BIFF and waterslide at the Geraldton Aquarena.
