Spring into the holidays with another jam-packed school holiday program that is sure to keep the kids happy!

From soccer clinics, surf lessons and golf, to arts and crafts galore, the program will have kids of all ages sorted.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn was pleased to be able to help make planning easier these school holidays.

“Finding ways to keep the kids entertained during the school holidays can be tricky, so the School Holiday Program gives parents and carers a one-stop shop for activity ideas,” he said.

“It’s fantastic to have so many great organisations like Ngala, Scrapbook House, Museum of Geraldton and more jump on board for the Spring edition.”

“If you’re still looking for something to do, download a program and get planning!”

Free events for children aged nine and above will once again feature on the program, with the popular three day Soccer Clinic returning once again in collaboration with Football West, with Wheelchair Basketball also set to take place.

Geraldton Regional Art Gallery will be a hive of activity during week one of the program, with plenty of workshops and tours for kids of all ages taking place within the Starstruck: Australian Movie Portraits exhibition. Eventbrite registration for these sessions are essential so book early to avoid disappointment.

Geraldton Regional Library will also be hosting an Illustration and Lettering workshop with Andrew Frazer, as well as other classes that creative kids are sure to love.

The Geraldton Aquarena will be running two holiday programs, with the five day intensive Swim School Holiday Program for infants returning, as well as the H20 have a go program for children in stages 5+.

Child and Parent Centre – Rangeway will also be hosting a morning full of free activities on Friday 4 October for bubs right up to eight year olds.

A fun day for the whole family at the Geraldton Greenough Sunshine Festival returns on Sunday 6 October with a day full of family fun, stage entertainment and the always popular parade down Marine Terrace.

Kids in Mullewa will also have plenty do to, with events taking place daily at Mullewa Youth Centre. The Centre is open every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3pm until 8pm, as well as Saturday from 11am until 7.30pm.

The School Holiday Program commences on Saturday 28 September and runs until 12 October.
