Searching for some great ideas to keep the kids entertained this break? The Spring School Holiday Program is packed with activities for young people of all ages.

The School Holiday Program, a combined effort of local providers, will begin on Friday 21 September and run through to 5 October.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn said the program was sure to keep kids busy.

"The City of Greater Geraldton is committed to providing school-aged children with a variety of events that will challenge and entertain them," he said.

"Providing such a diverse range of activities would not be possible without the cooperation of local community organisations and we thank them for their support."

Panaceum’s Films on the Foreshore return to Stow Gardens with free movie screenings for three Friday evenings. The first film to air will be Tad the Lost Explorer and the Secret of King Midas on 21 September, followed by Early Man on 28 September and Wonder on 5 October.

The Foreshore will be a hive of activity throughout the break, with the Avivo Amazing Race, Splash and Dash and Sunshine Festival activities all taking place in addition to free soccer, basketball and volleyball sessions.

Kids of all ages will be able to get creative with 60,000 white Lego bricks at the Geraldton Regional Art Gallery, and the Spawn Point Pop Up gaming zone will return to the Geraldton Multipurpose Centre.

Young palaeontologists can dig in to dino themed activities at the Museum of Geraldton, and for those crafty kids, Scrapbook House will also be offering art and craft sessions.

Parents with very young children from newborn to five years of age can come along to a morning of music fun on Friday 5 October thanks to Child and Parent Centre – Rangeway.

Mullewa crew will also be able to take part in the fun, with an end of school party, video game competitions, excursions, film nights and more on offer at the Mullewa Youth Centre.
