Community groups looking to take their projects to the next level will be pleased to learn that the City of Greater Geraldton’s Community Grants Program has returned for another round.

Applications for Round 22 opened on Wednesday 10 July, allowing groups to apply for funds up to $20,000.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn said the Community Grants Program had helped many around the region.

“Midwest Multicultural Association, Geraldton Yacht Club, Geraldton Dog Rescue and Rotary WA are just some of the groups that have received funding from the Community Grants Program,” he said.

“Applications don’t close until the start of September so you have plenty of time to make sure the selection criteria is met and your application is spot on.

“We’re really proud of the Community Grants Program and the organisations we have been able to assist.”

Applications can be made via the City’s SmartyGrants website and must be submitted before 5pm Tuesday 3 September. Community groups will be advised of their application’s success by Thursday 31 October.

Those wanting feedback on their submission can also meet with the City’s Treasury Officer on Thursday 15 August at the Geraldton Library. Appointments can be made by emailing grants@cgg.wa.gov.au
