Mullewa Muster

It’s one of the biggest events in the Midwest calendar and it returns this weekend with a huge line up of activities and a record number of rodeo entrants!

Thousands will attend the Mullewa Muster and Rodeo for its eighth year as the event continues to grow in popularity with 270 entries for the rodeo component.

The Muster will play host to an Australian Bushmen's Campdraft and Rodeo Association (ABCRA) full points Rodeo which will see individuals travel from all over WA plus many from interstate to battle it out for $35,300 in prize money.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn said the Muster had cemented itself as a premier event in the Midwest.

“The popularity of the Mullewa Muster and Rodeo has really grown since the first event in 2012,” he said.

“We’re proud of this event and what it has done for tourism in the region as it attracts people from all over the country.

“There’s a great line-up of activities for the whole family, from all the crowd favourites like barrel racing and the whip cracking competitions, to the amazing music concert to conclude the day.”

There will be lots of fun for the kids, along with great food and entertainment.

A live country music concert will kick off from 6pm featuring Adam Brand, Drew McAlister and Seleen Mac.

The Mullewa Muster and Rodeo will take place on Saturday 1 June 2019 at the Mullewa Recreation Ground with gates opening at 8am.

Free camping is available at the grounds and there is also an extra overflow area which will be available.

Tickets will be available on the day at the main gate. For more information visit www.mullewamuster.com.au
