For 85 years the Mullewa Agricultural Show has been one of the best in the Midwest but this year it will be bigger and better teamed with great value for the family.

With the theme ‘Wild about Mullewa’, the Mullewa Recreation Ground will be buzzing with activities on Saturday 25 August.

There will be all the family favourites from Monster Trucks, Bubble Muffin Kids Cooking Club, Circus Challenge Play Zone, Sideshow Alley, Fireworks, the Quick Shear and the popular LiveLighter Mullewa Gift.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn said this year’s show would be one not to miss.

“Not only is there a massive line up of activities and fun for the whole family – but it’s the perfect time of year for a drive out in our Midwest as the wildflowers are stunning!” he said.

“The Mullewa community have worked extremely hard to create a great experience for visitors to the town.

“You won’t want to miss this one.”

Coinciding with Mullewa’s Wildflower Festival ‘Outback Bloom’ which begins on Thursday 23 August and runs to Sunday 26 August, there will be plenty to do and see in Mullewa.

Mullewa Agricultural Society Secretary Julie Freeman said the event was a brilliant day out for families in the Midwest.

“Why not make a day of it? Take a drive through wildflower country, visit Outback Bloom in the morning and then come up to the Showgrounds for lunch and an afternoon packed full of thrills and entertainment,” she said.

“It will be challenging to see and do everything with so much on offer.

“This is by far, the best value, family day out anyone can have in the Midwest.”

Adult entry is $15, pensioners $5 and kids under 15 are free. Gates open to the public at 9.30am with the main pavilion opening at 12 noon.

The Mullewa Show has been generously supported by grant funding from the Healthway, Lotterywest, Mullewa Community Trust and the City of Greater Geraldton alongside generous support of a large number of local businesses from Mullewa and Geraldton.
