Zac Bruce is the next artist to feature in the Post Office Lane Lightbox Gallery and his works featuring glitched images are sure to stir our memories and nostalgia for the past.
Simulacrum examines the way people use technology and ideology to warp the complex stories of life into simple and convenient narratives.
City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn said the outdoor exhibition space continues to add vibrancy to the CBD.
“The Post Office Lane Lightbox Gallery in Rocks Laneway is all about supporting Midwest artists and providing them with an exclusive space to showcase their designs,” he said.
“Congratulations to Zac Bruce for being our next artist to feature in the outdoor space – his work will certainly trigger nostalgic memories.”
The multidisciplinary artist who favours photography and videography was the overall winner of the 2019 Midwest Art Prize with his production The Wunder Years.
Simulacrum is featuring in the Post Office Lane Lightbox Gallery as part of Rocks Laneway until Thursday 3 December.
Opportunities for local artists to have their work featured in the outdoor space will be available for review closer to the end of the year.
