Get your dancing shoes ready Gero, because the Drug Aware Fools Festival is this Saturday and there will be so much good music you won’t be able to keep your feet still!

Bursting with Triple J talent, festival-goers will hear from Baker Boy, POW Negro, Arno Faraji, Sly Withers and the newly announced J.F.K who pack a powerful punch of garage rock.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn expects a good crowd down the Foreshore.

“This is such an exciting music festival that’s overflowing with talent, we expect a good crowd will flock to the Foreshore just for it,” he said.

“It’s great that we have been able to add J.F.K to the line-up this week. They deliver such a unique sound that adds another element to the Fools Festival set.

“I can’t wait to see everyone down at the Foreshore for what is going to be another fantastic event put on by the City of Greater Geraldton.”

The Drug Aware Fools Festival has something for everyone including aero bungy, a silent disco with six DJs, an art battle, dodge ball, a beach party, beat boxing, chill out zones and tasty food from local producers.

“Saturday is also set for some great weather so make sure you block out your calendar from 2pm to 8pm,” added Mayor Van Styn.

The City of Greater Geraldton’s Drug Aware Fools Festival will be held at Stow Gardens on the Geraldton Foreshore and wouldn’t be possible without the support of Healthway, Lotterywest and Rio Tinto.

The all ages event is drug and alcohol free.
