Funding opportunities of up to $20,000 are now available for community groups, clubs and organisations to apply for, through the City of Greater Geraldton’s Community Grants Program.
The Community Project Support Program is also open, and provides financial assistance with amounts up to $2,000*.
City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn said the funding programs have enabled positive results for the community.
“We have seen many projects, activities and events grow even bigger thanks to a funding boost from the Community Grants Program,” he said.
“Community groups work with tight budgets and rely on opportunities such as these to access financial support and sponsorship.
“It’s important that we aid them where possible because it builds capacity and adds to our community’s wellbeing, culture and diversity.”
In previous years, successful applications have been received from the Mullewa District Agriculture Society, Desert Blue Connect, Mid West Sports Federation, North Midlands Project as well as Midwest Yellow Ribbon for Life.
Submissions for both funding rounds must be lodged before 5pm on Wednesday 18 August at https://cgg.smartygrants.com.au
