On behalf of Western Power, the City of Greater Geraldton wishes to advise works to provide underground power to buildings located in the CBD on Chapman Road between Cathedral Avenue and Forrest Street and buildings located on Durlacher Street between Sanford Street and Marine Terrace will begin on Tuesday 7 November 2017.
The CBD Underground Power Project works will involve the laying of underground cables to the buildings within the project area over the coming weeks. The removal of power poles and overhead wires will occur in January 2018. The project is anticipated to be completed by February 2018.
Works may result in traffic delays in the area. The City recommends using alternative routes during the works period if possible.
Members of the community are requested to exercise caution and obey all warning signs and directions from authorised Western Power personnel and contractors.
The City apologises for any inconvenience these works may cause.
