Local photographers are being encouraged to get snapping for their chance to feature in the Geraldton Visitor Centre’s 2022 calendar!

In order to nab a month in the calendar, photos must reflect the theme of ‘Midwest Life’. Those who are successful will also have their work displayed on the mall banners in Marine Terrace.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn encouraged all budding photographers to apply.

“We have many talented photographers of all different backgrounds and skill levels in our community and we’re calling on them to get involved,” he said.

“It doesn’t matter if your photo has been taken on the latest smart phone or a drone – we want to see what ‘Midwest Life’ looks to you through the lens.

“We’re excited to provide yet another opportunity for creatives and to harness some local love with our theme – and also to be showcased in a prime location.”

Entries close at 9am on Thursday 4 March and entrants can submit up to three images inspired by ‘Midwest Life’.

Successful applicants must provide a final image 2MB in size, in either JPG or PDF format and portrait orientation.

The Geraldton Visitor Centre’s 2020 Calendar Competition was taken out by drone photographer MKZ Imagery for his epic shot of the Geraldton Foreshore.
