Further activation of the Beresford Foreshore is now underway with the City calling for Expressions of Interest for the provision of temporary services or facilities at two locations along the coastline.

A +400m2 site at Midalia’s Beach will be available for multi-use temporary or transportable commercial structures whilst a +400m2 area at the Dean Street node on Chapman Road will be available for multi-use mobile commercial businesses.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn said interest in both sites has been growing for some time.

“Since construction of the Beresford Foreshore coastal protection works began the City has been contacted numerous times by businesses interested in setting up shop on site when the project is completed,” he said.

“With only a few weeks remaining till the fences come down at Midalia’s Beach, the opportunity has finally arrived for businesses such as food and drink outlets or recreational activities to submit an expression of interest to provide their services along this popular stretch of Foreshore.”

The deadline to submit an Expression of Interest is Thursday 25 October 2018.
