Community members will be able to pay tribute to those who have fought for our country this ANZAC Day.

In conjunction with the Geraldton RSL Sub-Branch, the City of Greater Geraldton will hold ANZAC Day services at Birdwood House on Tuesday 25 April.

ANZAC Day commemorations will commence with the Dawn Service at 6am followed by the Main Service at 11am.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn said the services were always deeply moving and urged everyone to come and pay their respects.

“ANZAC Day is one of the most important days on the calendar for all Australians as we acknowledge those who have defended and continue to defend our way of life,” he said.

“I look forward to seeing our community come together to remember those who paid the ultimate price to preserve our freedoms.”

A wreath-laying ceremony will be preceded by the traditional March, which commences at Dome Café at 10.40am and continues along Forrest Street before finishing at Birdwood House.

An ANZAC Day Service will also be held in Mullewa and will see a free ANZAC Day breakfast take place at 7.30am, followed by a March that leads into a Service at 11am.
