Don’t let the winter chill keep you indoors these school holidays, because there are loads of activities happening in the region that will excite both little and big kids!
Activities range from mini olympics, golf, badge making, volleyball, video games, cooking lessons and so much more.
City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn said the School Holiday Program is brimming with activities.
“It’s great to see so many organisations from around the region come together and put on another massive School Holiday Program,” he said.
“There are activities happening in both Geraldton and Mullewa, so make sure you get out and about and make the most of the two week break!”
Dress up as a pirate or fairy and go on a scavenger hunt at the PCYC or carve a small clay model at the Museum of Geraldton as part of their Creating Creatures of Thuri Munga installation.
Youngsters can also take to the stage at the Queens Park Theatre’s Introduction to Theatre workshop or head to the Foreshore with a few mates for a game of five-a-side soccer.
Mullewa crew can participate in a range of free basketball workshops with the Geraldton Buccaneers as well as help build a water dunking tank at Mullewa’s Men’s Shed.
Events start on Monday 2 July and conclude on Sunday 15 July. To view all the activities taking place this school holidays, head to www.cgg.wa.gov.au or grab a hard copy from the Civic Centre, Geraldton Regional Library, Geraldton Visitor Centre, Geraldton Aquarena or Mullewa Youth Centre.
The City of Greater Geraldton would like to thank all the organisations involved in preparing another action-packed School Holiday Program.
