Music to Love in the Cathedral

Fremantle Chamber Orchestra presents “Music to Love” on Friday 30 September at 7:30pm in Geraldton's magnificent Saint Francis Xavier Cathedral.  After the great success of last year’s first performance in Geraldton, FCO presents a new program that will appeal to all, both lovers of classical and newcomers.

"We want to take our listeners on a rich, emotional journey,” says FCO founder Hans Hug. "So we crafted a special program with the magic Adagio from Bach’s E Major Violin Concerto, a charming Vivaldi Sinfonia, the romantic Elegie by Tchaikovsky, Svendsen’s intimate Romance and more.”

Brilliant violinist Paul Wright will lead the orchestra and talented young oboist Hannah Woolley will delight with the oboe concertos by Marcello and Albinoni. Hannah will also play Morricone’s Gabriel’s Oboe, described as “the most beautiful haunting wonderful piece of music.... an oasis of calm tranquility, written from the heart to touch ours so deeply.”

Sponsored by the City of Geraldton and Geraldton Guardian, this is an event not to be missed.
