Advocacy Training
Past Event
This two-hour workshop will provide local community groups and individuals with hands-on experience of what is involved in effective campaigns to achieve their aims. It will also demonstrate how planning a campaign in advance can get better results and shows how social
media can be used to gather support.
It includes advice on how to make your case to decision makers, politicians, local government and the public, as well as practical exercises on letter-writing and media releases.
Participants will have the opportunity to use their own issues as the basis for the exercises and will receive a copy of the new WACOSS Advocacy Toolkit which will further support their future advocacy.
This is a free course courtesy of Lotterywest funding.
