About the position:

This is a permanent part time position (56 hours per fortnight, working days and hours are negotiable) and is responsible for accurately maintaining Councils rates and property systems and delivering excellent customer services within a fast-paced team environment.

Key accountabilities:

  • Maintaining accurate records of the rates data base.
  • Delivering excellent telephone customer service.
  • Processing Electronic Advice of Sales.
  • Processing and distribution of the Orders & Requisitions.

Position requirements:

The successful applicant will be a dynamic, customer focused professional with the ability to deal with customer telephone enquiries while working within strict deadlines.  With a keen eye for detail, the successful applicant will need to display initiative and be a proactive team player. Rates or general finance experience, preferably in a Local Government environment is desired.

Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City.

Remuneration and benefits:

A salary starting from $62,664 per annum or $31.7125 per hour will be offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
