About the position:

An innovator with a passion for community is required for the position of Place Manager Mullewa, a small rural community located just 99km from Geraldton. The City is seeking a creative and strategic thinker with outstanding negotiation and influencing skills who can foster relationships with stakeholders to deliver great local outcomes. Ideally you will be experienced in community capacity building and implementing place based approaches in communities. Awareness of the challenges of small and isolated communities such as Mullewa will be an advantage in hitting the ground running in this role that provides the incumbent the opportunity to lead a team that makes a real and lasting difference.

Key accountabilities:

The position is required to liaise regularly with key internal and external stakeholders, supervise a small team of staff, manage budgets, undertake reporting requirements and identify and action local initiatives, including grant seeking.

Position requirements:

The successful applicant will possess qualifications and experience in a relevant field such as community development, place management, urban or social planning and be an excellent communicator. The ability to deliver a wide range of projects simultaneously as part of a team whilst managing day to day operations is a key requirement of the position.

Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City.

Remuneration and benefits:

A salary starting from $104,304 per annum or $52.7854 per hour will be offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
