About the position:
This position is responsible for coordinating the strategic management of the City’s CCTV system. The successful incumbent will ensure the ongoing functionality and capability of the CCTV system, by ensuring ongoing maintenance as well as providing recommendations on potential upgrades and system expansions to ensure effective placement and positioning of system assets. The position will also play a vital role in liaising with relevant community stakeholders to assist with crime prevention and public safety within the region.
Key accountabilities:
- Ensure ongoing compliance with the City’s CCTV Management Plan and strategic direction, including the effective delivery of action items, undertaking service delivery reviews and providing recommendations for service delivery improvement.
- Proactively monitor and manage the City’s CCTV system, including but not limited to effective security management, monitoring and recording as required.
- Proactively engage with the community regarding the CCTV provision within the community, its placement and use.
- Provide management, recommendations and oversight of specific CCTV projects, driving continual improvement to enhance the City’s capabilities and functions whilst delivering outcomes within identified project scope and budget.

Position requirements:
The successful candidate will ideally possess a degree qualification within a related discipline and with relevant experience, or a lesser qualification with significant experience. Extensive experience in enterprise surveillance systems, public safety/crime prevention and project management are essential for this position, as are highly developed communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Applicants who possess strong knowledge, skills and experience relevant to the position but do not have formal qualifications are also encouraged to apply.
Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City.
Remuneration and benefits:
A salary starting from $99,903 per annum or $50.5581 per hour will be offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
