Completed Key Infrastructure Projects

Since the 2015/16 financial year the City has invested in Capital Works projects in an effort to help stimulate the local economy.

Many of these projects greatly improved access and inclusion ensuring all members of our community can enjoy the amenities our City has to offer regardless of their level of ability.

The largest undertaking by far was the complete transformation of the City's Foreshore located between the Port and St Georges Beach.  The project began in the early 2000s involved seven major projects including the removal of the rail lines and construction of the CBD Foreshore, the revitalisation of the West End including the construction of the Youth Precinct, the Geraldton Multipurpose Centre, the refurbishment of the Original Railway Station and the development of the Esplanade (Eastern Breakwater) followed by the completion of the Beresford Foreshore Coastal Protection and Enhancement works.

Below is a list of all the major projects the City has undertaken since 2015.
