There are more than 180 incorporated Sport & Recreation clubs in the City of Greater Geraldton. The City of Greater Geraldton provides a diverse range of activities to cater for all interests.

The City and the Department of Sport and Recreation through the State Wide Club Development Scheme, is committed to developing sport and recreation clubs in the Greater Geraldton and Mid West region. We support sport and recreation clubs and their volunteers.

Club Development Workshops

The City of Greater Geraldton in partnership with the Department of Sport & Recreation host quarterly workshops to assist local clubs on building their capacity and sustainability.

Recent workshops include:

•    Social Media
•    Sports Quiz Night
•    Marketing and Sponsorship
•    Lotterywest Grant funding
•    Association incorporation act workshops (in partnership with the Department of Commerce)

If any club has a specific topic they would like to see covered, please email through to council@cgg.wa.gov.au and the appropriate City Officers will collate it for consideration.
