Overview

The Geraldton Aquarena seek to employ Casual Staff in the roles of Pool Lifeguards, Swim Instructors and Customer Service Officers for the Summer season each year and periodically where resources are required throughout the year. The Aquarena operates all year round with a spread of hours from 5am – 8pm weekdays and 7.30am – 6.30pm on weekends, resourcing requirements peaking during the Summer School holidays.

Position Summary

Pool Lifeguard (Casual)

Undertake supervision, emergency care intervention in accordance with aquatic facilities standards and practices. Ensure a quality standard of public hygiene and safety for all facility users whilst contributing to a fun and enjoyable experience.

Minimum Pre-requisite Qualifications

  • Current RLSSWA Pool lifeguard Certificate, and
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate.

Swimming Instructor (Casual)

Effectively instruct and deliver aquatic facility swim school programmes and lesson plans whilst following relevant industry standards & practices. Enhance, development and promote the Aquarena swimming programs to our customers and the wider community.

Minimum Pre-requisite Qualifications

  • Current Austswim or RLSSWA Teacher of swimming & Water safety certificate,
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC), and
  • Current resuscitation certificate

Customer Service Officer (Casual)

Provide the highest level of customer service and public relations to the customers and users of the Aquarena. Act as the first point of customer contact, undertake POS and entry control responsibilities. Provide advice and service support including pro-shop retail sales, swim school enrolment or general enquiry.

Minimum Pre-requisite Qualifications

  • Current First Aid Certificate
