Expression of Interest: Special Series Number Plates
The City of Greater Geraldton has decided to issue a special series of City of Greater Geraldton number plates and would like to partner with community organisations to auction off the first 100 sets for charitable fundraising purposes.
Expressions of interest are therefore invited from not-for-profit local registered charitable organisations and service clubs with an established fundraising strategy to organise an event at which to conduct the auction. In return, the organisation will retain the monies raised, less costs, to add to their fundraising efforts for an initiative(s) of benefit to the Greater Geraldton community as per their stated strategy.
Sample layout (not true to size):
Your expression of interest should to address the following:
- Name and background of the organisation/service club (max 300 words)
- Details of established fundraising strategy of the organisation/service club (max 300 words)
- Details of the initiative(s) for which the funds raised would be used
- Planned approach for the conduct of the auction event (include details such as location, promotion, expected date etc)
- Attach copy of “Registration/Licence as a Charitable Organisation” as per the requirements of the Charitable Collections Act 1946 (further information, if required, can be found at the Department of Commerce website)
The City of Greater Geraldton may assist the organisation(s) with administrative and/or marketing support to enable them to hold their auction event. A function hosted by His Worship the Mayor, Ian Carpenter to announce the successful organisation(s) and the date of the auction will also be held.
The City of Greater Geraldton reserves the right to work with one or more local organisation or service club to ensure the success of this fundraising initiative.
