On occasion, the City of Greater Geraldton accepts or encourages nominations from the public to recognise community members or groups who have achieved excellence or made contributions to our community.

The City sponsors the Young Achiever Award (presented on Australia Day) and contributes to or hosts awards events such as the Annual Midwest Sports Awards, the MidWest Art Prize and the Premier’s Australia Day Awards.
