Director of Sustainable Communities

Phil is a qualified Town Planner with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Urban and Regional Studies and holds a Graduate Diploma in Urban and Regional Planning.

The Department of Sustainable Communities is a multi-disciplinary team led by Phil, which includes Building, Environmental Health & Sustainability and Town Planning Services.

Phil has extensive experience in Town Planning having worked with a major metropolitan council and in a number of roles in Geraldton. Through his leadership role, Phil has inspired his team to achieve positive outcomes for the local community. 

Through his strategic background Phil knows the importance of taking a proactive view when dealing with challenges that arise as part of any project. His strategic knowledge and skills were put to good use during the merger of the City of Geraldton-Greenough.

Phil is a strong believer in the potential of the Midwest region and is committed to achieving quality outcomes for the community with an emphasis on achieving balanced growth that is sustainable over the long term.
