Progress Associations

The City of Geraldton Greenough is very fortunate to have dedicated community groups such as Progress Associations that look after local community interests. The City works closely with these groups in striving to continually improve the services provided by Council. The City posts out relevant information to these groups, attends meeting if requested, and liaises with the groups via minutes and other correspondence to ensure facilities and services meet the requirements of our community.

One way in which Progress Associations assist Council is by providing 'wish lists' for what they want done in their area. These are processed by our Community Development Officer and added to the Council's Parks and Gardens 5-Year Development Plan.

If you are a concerned resident or wish to have input into your community, please contact your local Progress Association and join these committed residents. These communities need your assistance, you may contact the numbers as below or the Community Development Officer at the City on 9921 0500.

Some areas do not have a Progress Association as yet, you might just be the right person to form one!
