The
Artist in Residence Program provides successful applicants the opportunity to
work and live in Central Greenough, in a National Trust building situated in a
peaceful and historical setting, 20kms south of Geraldton, WA. The Teachers
Quarters, Central Greenough has undergone a major interior refit during
2006/2007. All furniture and fixtures are brand new, with freshly painted walls,
new linen and home wares. The Quarters is fully self contained with; fully
equipped kitchen, laundry, bedroom, lounge room and bathroom.
Residencies will be offered to successful applicants for a period of 3-6 weeks
between October 2007 and July 2008. Residencies after July 2008 will roll into
our 2008/09 applications.
Resident artists will have the use of the Teachers quarters and surrounding
buildings by negotiation. The surrounding grounds of the Central Greenough
settlement can also be utilised. Artists must supply their own food and
reimburse Council for any utility costs such as gas and electricity.
As this is a public program resident artist will be required to create and

talks, community workshops, master classes for local artist, exhibition or
other activity i.e. poetry reading that is agreed upon before commencement
