The Parks and Gardens Department are responsible for the development and maintenance of the City’s Parks and Reserves. They are involved in mowing the reserves, pruning verge trees, installation of playground equipment, planting flowers and trees, spraying of weeds and much, much more. They also maintain the playground equipment and the picnic facilities.

    The limestone "Wave" theme seat is located on
the foreshore side of the Park, facing the ocean.
Local artist Edmund Steward created the seat in 1999
