INTRODUCING
RYAN THOMPSON
SPORT AND RECREATION CLUB DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you and your
club as the newly appointed Sport and Recreation Club Development Officer
for Geraldton-Greenough. I have recently assumed the position that was
previously held by Clint McLean and is part of a programme funded by the
Department of Sport and Recreation.
I have lived in Geraldton for over 20 years and have a keen interest in the
local sporting scene and knowledge of the various factors that affect the
many clubs in the region. My role is to assist sporting clubs to achieve
sustainability and to ensure that your club is given every opportunity to
run effectively and efficiently.
To achieve these outcomes, the City of Geraldton-Greenough and the
Department of Sport & Recreation will provide a variety of resources,
including workshops and seminars to ensure your club has the best possible
chance to remain sustainable in tomorrow’s economic climate.

provide you with information about club development and guide you to other
resources that are available.
